Day 17 - The best bromance in F1
probably a bad choice, considering what happened to them last weekend. (2011 canadian gp) they’re great mates, i think. they had fun with mp4-12c’s around silverstone and showed a fantastic drive in 2010 turkish gp vis-a-vis the performance of the redbull drivers in the same race. i think there are a number of great team pairings out there but they really lack media exposure. i guess it’s a tough challenge and the 2 do it properly.

Day 16 - Your favourite driver not currently driving in F1
kimi raikkonen
time will tell. please come back.
Day 15 - Your most exciting race
nothing beats watching the race live. i’ve been to 2 races - sepang and singapore 2010. i was cheering for alonso and, at the least for the latter part of the race, there was a chance of vettel taking over the lead. lap by lap, i’d look out if a red car came before the redbull. until the last corner, there was a possibility of handing over the victory to the german but then alonso finally crossed the line. i turned red with joy and felt genuine scarlet fever joining other ferrari fans from across the globe. it was a very memorable night. the first grand chelem since schumacher sealed his 7th title (2004 hungarian gp)
Day 14 - Thoughts and opinons of the politics in f1
i’ve just seen the senna movie and there’s a good highlight of the involved politics in the careers of senna and prost as well as the result of the world championships. what i can say is that if it happens again, that’s a turn-off for the sport.
politics is always the same anywhere you go. somehow, someone is trying to make pull some strings here and there to accomplish something. that’s why people get to that high position, because they have a vision. they might be the right way or another. for the good or the other. well right now, of course we have fota, gpda, etc. in formula 1 and somehow things get done in a seemingly fair way. from my point of view, i can see that they all get a say in the changes in rules and regulations and whatever the sport involves.
The FIA has confirmed the Bahrain Grand Prix will not take place in 2011. The World Motor Sport Council voted yesterday to revert to the previous version of the 2011 F1 calendar. This restores the Indian Grand Prix to its original date of October 30th in place of the Bahrain round. The WMSC originally voted 12 days ago to give India’s slot to Bahrain. The teams wrote to the FIA objecting to the decision, citing logistical and describing an extension of the calendar to accommodate an Indian round as “unbearable” for their staff.

Day 13 - Most tragic moment in F1
hmm, unlucky number 13. it was one of the most confident drives ever. everyone was expecting a strong race from him, especially since he announced his retirement a couple of races back. he had the best form, winning 5 of the past 7 grands prix. he’s done a great job catching up on the points and this happens.
we all know nothing gets more tragic than the weekend of the 1994 san marino grand prix, but i wasn’t that attached to formula 1 back then. even if i were, i wouldn’t even be very aware of who ayrton senna was, what more of ratzenberger or barrichello.
in 2006, things were different. schumacher was the driver to cheer for and it was very important for him to win in suzuka. it was tragic. i’ve let go of the sad emotions that i had back then, but i can remember that i was very disappointed and didn’t function properly for quite some time.
